Chaplain / Program Coordinator, Men's Ministries, Part Time, Non-Exempt, $29-$33 per hour

The Chaplain position specializes in ministry to those most disadvantaged in our society through an empowering Christian approach to counseling and program coordination for our Life Transformation program residents that are seeking recovery from substance/chemical dependence and/or other life-controlling problems and addictions. It is the responsibility of the Chaplain/Program Coordinator to assist resident’s needs and develop a healthy life transformational plan that encompasses counseling, case management, and collaboration with other appropriate services to facilitate growth towards a healthy community network and support system. Counseling is Biblically based, addressing past traumas and broken relationships, life skills, physical health, substance abuse/recovery, housing, employment, and legal and mental/emotional needs and services. The Chaplain will conduct various programmatic classes and group sessions, ministry services in the chapel, and other ministerial duties maintaining a peaceful, hospitable, safe, transforming and supportive environment, which reflects the vision of the Bay Area Rescue Mission (BARM).

The Warehouse Supervisor will assist the VP of Programs oversee daily warehouse operations while ensuring efficiency, safety, and organization. This role is essential for maintaining smooth operations within the warehouse, ensuring that products are received, stored and picked up correctly, and that workers are safe and productive. The Supervisor will ensure that the handling and distribution of goods complies with BARM standards and protocols. The Warehouse Supervisor must be a born-again believer who feels called by God to the ministry of rescue. This calling should be evident in their attitude and actions when interacting with co-workers, staff, residents, guests, volunteers, and the public, etc.

Mental Health Intern (Unpaid)

The Bay Area Rescue Mission (BARM) is seeking passionate and committed Mental Health Interns to provide therapeutic services to women, men, and children in our shelter and Life Transformation Program. This is an excellent opportunity for graduate-level students in counseling, social work, psychology or other related fields to gain hands-on experience working with a diverse population in a trauma-informed, low-barrier shelter setting. Interns will manage a caseload of 8-10 individuals and work within an interdisciplinary team to provide case management, individual counseling, group counseling, vocational placement, and psychoeducational services.
