Mobile Outreach

Our Mobile Outreach team travels twice a week to visit the chronic homeless in parks and encampments throughout the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. Mission staff and volunteers are equipped with food packs, water bottles, hygiene kits, warm clothing, blankets, and "Coupons for Care" which include maps to the Mission. The distribution of these life-saving supplies and medical care provides support to individuals who, for various reasons, may not be currently accessing these services.

Through consistent contact, the outreach team seeks to build a basic level of trust and assess the needs of those served. After meeting emergency needs, it is the goal of our staff to guide these individuals to our emergency shelter and then to long-term recovery programs.
