Mike’s addiction to drugs and alcohol ruled his life for years. When people tried to help, he brushed them off. As he puts it, “Like most addicts, I didn’t listen.”
One of those people who tried to help was John Anderson, the Rescue Mission’s Executive Director! “I was going through Reverend Anderson’s garbage can, because I was homeless,” Mike remembers. “I thought he was going to call the cops. Instead, he told me he knew a place that could help me.”
